Kristin M. Neun

Retired

Kristin M. Neun served as a principal of the firm from 2001, until her retirement in April, 2015.

Since 1986, Kristin worked both in policy and legal arenas of the multifamily affordable housing and health care facility industry.   Kristin’s knowledge of relevant federal and state housing programs facilitated her representation of a wide array of industry participants, including for-profit and not-for-profit borrowers and developers, FHA mortgage lenders, housing managers, nursing home operators, public housing authorities, housing finance agencies and other state and local public agencies and trade associations.

During her career, Kristin worked closely with industry trade groups and federal housing officials to develop workable housing policies and procedures.

Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Kristin practiced law in the Washington office of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, PLC, where she focused on assisted housing matters, with a particular emphasis on 11(b) bond refundings and other housing and hospital bond finance transactions.  Before obtaining her law degree, Kristin worked for over six years as the Research Director/PHA Liaison at the National Leased Housing Association, during which time she represented the interests of both public and private participants in Section 8 and other federal assisted housing programs. From 1985 to 1987, Kristin worked on issues relating to 515 rural rental housing for the Council for Rural Housing and Development, now known as the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing.
